Word Processing

Word processing is a program that most people use to create documents.

Some examples of word processing programs are - Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, and Lotus WordPro.

With word processing programs you can:

Create Documents:

Type your document

Here are some common terms in creating a document

Enter text-
type new text
Select -
Highlight text, usually by dragging.
Select all -
To select everything in a document. (To select all press Ctrl then press a, while still holding down Ctrl.) If you wanted to select this page you could also hit ctrl a (try it). ---Good Job !!!!!!!!!!---
Cut -
remove selection from document and store temporarily on the Clipboard, which it a temporally stores the information. (To cut select the text then press Ctrl then press x, while still holding down Ctrl.)
Copy -
duplicate selection onto Clipboard (Ctrl c)
Paste -
place contents of the Clipboard at cursor location (Ctrl v)
Undo -
reverses whatever change you just made (Ctrl z)
Delete -
remove text
Redo  -
un reverses what you just undid. (like you undo an undo, anyway the shortcut is Ctrl y)
Spelling check -
looks for spelling errors
Grammar check -
looks for grammar/style errors (of limited help)

 

Edit:

Make any changes, fix any errors

 

Format:

The font, font size, text color, how         many   spaces  there are, etc.

 

Save:

To write the document to the hard disk, so you can keep the document.

 

Print:

The printer prints the document. (self explanatory)
